Lyman S.
Bradford IV (“Brad”) is a second
generation Floridian, born and raised in
West Palm Beach, Florida. The Bradford
Family was instrumental in establishing
the first all-volunteer fire department
in Palm Beach County outside the city
limits of West Palm Beach. Brad’s
grandfather served as the County’s first
fire chief until his death in 1970. Less
than a year later, Brad’s father was
elected Fire Chief, and he served in
that capacity until 1983, when Palm Beach
County consolidated the many local fire
departments into what is now the Palm
Beach County Fire Rescue.
Brad
graduated from Palm Beach Lakes
Community High School (1994) and later
attended the University of Central
Florida in Orlando where he earned his
B.A. degree in Political Science in
2001. Three years later, Brad graduated
from Quinnipiac University School of
Law, a small private institution located
in Hamden, Connecticut, with his Juris
Doctorate. Brad was sworn into the
Florida Bar in 2005 and later became a
member of the Connecticut Bar, in 2007.
After working as an associate for two
small law firms, the first being a
community association and commercial
litigation firm located in West Palm
Beach, and the second a criminal and
family law firm in Stuart, Brad
opened his own practice in August of
2006.
Brad is a member of the Florida Bar, the
Palm Beach County Bar Association and
the Connecticut Bar Association.
